Bio
Tampa Bay Sports Commission welcomed Reese Nelson as Event Coordinator following her transition into a full-time role with the organization after graduating from the University of Tampa on May 9, 2026, with a B.S. in Business Management and a concentration in Sports Management. In her role, Reese assists in planning and executing sporting events from start to finish, coordinating event operations, vendor and venue operations, staffing, and on-site event management to help deliver successful experiences for athletes, fans, and partners throughout the Tampa Bay community.
Prior to joining the Tampa Bay Sports Commission full-time, Reese earned valuable experience through several roles across the sports industry. She previously served as a Corporate Partnerships Intern with Tampa Bay Sun FC, where she supported partnership development, client relations, and social media initiatives. Reese also worked with Racing Louisville W League and LouCity Academy, assisting with game-day operations, team logistics, apparel distribution, and organizational coordination.
Since joining TBSC, Reese has contributed to the execution of several major events, including the 2026 NHL Stadium Series Fan Fest, U.S. Soccer Fan Fest, and the Valspar Championship, supporting event operations, logistics, and on-site coordination efforts.
During her time at the University of Tampa, Reese was actively involved in leadership and event operations opportunities, including serving as a Women’s Final Four Leadership Assistant for both the 2025 and 2026 NCAA Women’s Final Four events. As a result of these experiences, she supported event preparation, premium hospitality operations, and on-site execution for one of the nation’s premier sporting events.
With a passion for sports and event management, Reese is excited to continue growing within the Tampa Bay sports community while helping create memorable experiences through major events hosted throughout the region.
