Game Day of Champions Soccer Returns for the First Time in Seven Years
Suncoast Credit Union Field to Host Annual Local Youth Showcase Event
TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Bay Sports Commission, in conjunction with Hillsborough County and Tampa Bay Sun FC, is proud to announce the return of Game Day of Champions Soccer for the first time in seven years. Established in 1994, the annual youth soccer showcase will take place at Suncoast Credit Union Field, home of the 2025 USL Super League Champions, Tampa Bay Sun FC.
Game Day of Champions Soccer will feature 12 local youth soccer teams from area leagues competing across six matches throughout the day. The event provides young athletes the unique opportunity to take the field on a premier, professional venue following a successful league season, creating lifelong memories alongside teammates, coaches, and families.
Designed as both a celebration and reward, the event highlights some of the region’s top youth teams and offers participants a grand stage experience. In addition to on-field competition, the day will include family-friendly partner activations and photo opportunities for all in attendance.
Previously hosted at Corbett Soccer Stadium on the campus of the University of South Florida, the event officially transitioned to Suncoast Credit Union Field in March 2026, elevating the experience and atmosphere for participating teams.
For family or friends interested in attending, entry and parking will be FREE.
