TAMPA, Fla. – On Sunday, February 17, over 300 Tampa Bay area high school football student-athletes were given the opportunity to participate in the Tampa Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Hillsborough County small college recruiting fair at Jefferson High School.
With the Tampa Bay student-athlete talent pool so deep, those that may not have signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) on National Signing Day, were allowed showcase their skills not only athletically, but also academically as these students had the opportunity to meet with multiple colleges in attempts of finding a new home.
The intimate setting provided coaches, parents, and students from over 60 area high schools the chance to mingle with over 45 different colleges from all around the country.
Beginning nearly 15 years ago, with only 10-15 colleges in attendance, the small college recruiting fair is now one of the most exciting and anticipated events for the Tampa Bay Sports Commission and Hillsborough County.
