2012 FISAC-IRSF World Rope Skipping Championships hosted at Sun Dome this week!

TAMPA, Fla. - USA Jump Rope, the national governing body for the sport of Jump Rope in the United States, is pleased to announce that we are hosting the 2012 FISAC-IRSF World Rope Skipping Championships in the Sundome on the University of South Florida campus July 31 – August 7. Over 800 competitors and 2,000 spectators from 19 countries will converge in Tampa, FL where athletes will have the chance to become a World Champion in speed and freestyle events.

The competition kicks off Tuesday, July 31 with the World Youth Tournament. At 7 pm on Saturday, August 4, the FISAC World Championship will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony and will continue throughout the next 3 days. You will also be able to attend the Closing Gala on Tuesday, August 7th starting at 7:00 pm.  The Gala will host the World Cup event which consists of groups of up to 30 skippers performing a group routine that is choreographed to music. Between each Team Show we will have a performance from several different acts such as Jungle Boogie andSaltare, who recently competed on America’s Best Dance Crew, and the Summerwind Skippers who recently competed on America’s Got Talent!

You can purchase day passes at the door for $5 for children and $15 for adults or a full event pass for $20 for children and $60 for adults.
