PLANT CITY, Fla. – The International Softball Federation (ISF), the ISSA and the Tampa Sports Commission have jointly planned the WORLD TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS, which has been scheduled for January 27-29, 2012 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at Plant City and the Tampa Regional Area. The ISF World Headquarters at the Plant City Softball Stadium/Larson Softball Complex will serve as tournament headquarters for this world-class event. Masters and Senior teams from the 127 ISF member countries will be invited. In the United States in addition to the Champions at each ISSA tournament; the National Champions from the major softball associations are also invited. A list of the teams that have qualified for the WTOC is posted on the ISSA Website. Twenty-one softball fields have been reserved for the tournament and aerial photos of each venue can now be viewed on the website home page, along with team photos of many of the qualified teams and others will be added when they earn their berth. The “Best-of-the-Best” from all softball associations in the United States are invited to compete in the WTOC. Teams earning a berth from a tournament other than ISSA should register their team with ISSA online (no charge) and advise the ISSA Office by email (email@example.com) of their championship. All teams with berths have until November 1, 2011 to finalize their entry and claim their berth. Teams planning on playing in the WTOC should submit the online entry form now and mail their roster and entry fee by the deadline.
Teams should check the ISSA Website shortly to learn the complex for their age division and the tournament hotels with convenient lodging available for their division.
