TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Sports Commission hosted its 5th Annual University Challenge Golf Tournament at the prestigious Old Memorial Golf Club on June 7. Participants enjoyed a round of golf on the first-class course, which included catering from Outback Steakhouse and several on-course contests.
This year’s winning team, representing the University of South Florida, were Rick Kania and Jason Conte from Waste Management, along with Robbie Kerr and Nathan White from CVS Caremark (pictured above). The post-event reception and awards ceremony featured a steak dinner from Outback Steakhouse and a variety of desirable raffle prizes.
As a 501c3 charity, this event serves as one of the Sports Commission’s primary revenue generators, enabling them to continue to serve the community by socially and economically impacting the area through sports. This year’s tournament was another huge success, and the Sports Commission looks forward to the 6th Annual University Challenge Golf Tournament next year.
