TAMPA, Fla. - The 2010 Florida Firefighter Games began last week in Tampa Bay, and will run for two weeks, ending on May 8. For the next two weeks, 4,100 firefighters from throughout the state will compete in over 50 events at facilities located throughout Hillsborough County. The 2010 Games are expected to produce 1,500 hotel room nights for an estimated delegate spending of $3.8 million.
Events include competitions in billiards, bowling, bench press, cycling, darts, dodgeball, fishing, football, golf, hockey, poker, pull ups, soccer, swimming, track, table tennis, wrestling, and others.
