PITTSBURGH, PA – The National Club Baseball and Softball Associations are heading south for the 9th Annual Spring Training Showcase. A combined total of 70 NCBA and NCSA teams will descend upon the state of Florida throughout the month of March. Thanks to a number of local sponsors and supporters, each and every team will be able to play the sport they love and explore the Plant City and Tampa areas.
Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore is the Official Host Hotel of the 2014 NCBA Spring Training Showcase. Known as Tampa’s premier all-suite hotel, every suite includes high-speed internet, a bedroom with two queen-sized beds and a separate living room with a sofa sleeper, microwave, refrigerator, wet bar and two 32” HD TVs. Onsite activities include an indoor swimming pool, a newly renovated fitness center and innovative cuisine from the St. James Bar & Grill.
The event also features two ‘NCBA Team Nights’ at local Tampa area sponsors throughout the month. On Monday nights, teams can take advantage of a 15% discount on their food bill at The Press Box Sports Emporium. As the oldest sports bar in Tampa, The Press Box knows how to entertain. On Tuesday nights, teams can enjoy everything from wings and sandwiches to seafood and drink specials at Hogan’s Beach for a discounted price. Owned by the legendary Hulk Hogan himself, Hogan’s Beach sits right along the beach with outdoor seating, a sand volleyball court, a full-service Tiki Bar and a large stage that welcomes plenty of live music.
In addition, every NCBA athlete participating in the 2014 Spring Training Showcase will receive a Player VIP Card. Valid from March 1st through March 30th, each card offers a hand full of additional discounts and deals at local area businesses and restaurants. Participating businesses include Hooters, Charann’s Tavern and Circle K & Subway. Other local sponsors include Domino’s Pizza and Red Bull.
“Not only has the showcase grown in its number of teams, but it has grown in sponsor involvement as well,” said Savannah Ahrens, Director of Spring Training Operations for CollClubSports. “We are really looking forward to Team Nights on Mondays and Tuesdays and the Player VIP Card specials are better than ever!”
