IRT Florida Spring Break  Professional Racquetball Pro/Am Returns to Tampa Bay

TAMPA, FL - The Florida Spring Break IRT ProAm, one of the largest racquetball tournaments in the country, returns to Tampa Thursday, March 6 through Sunday, March 9, 2014 when all of the top players on the men’s professional International Racquetball Tour (IRT) will compete for over $17,500 in cash and prizes in this Pro/Am tournament as detailed at and at

8-time #1-ranked World Racquetball Champion, Kane Waselenchuk (as featured in the New York Times 2/14/12) will be among the competitors in a sport demanding players jump and dive to match ball speeds reaching almost 200 mph inside an 800-square foot court.

In addition to the top men’s professional players, more than 250 athletes from 7 countries and over 20 U.S. States will be competing for prize money and awards in this USA Racquetball-sanctioned event. Up to 17 matches will take place simultaneously at 5 Tampa clubs with the pros playing at Harbour Island Athletic Club & Spa, 900 S. Harbourt Island Blvd, Tampa. About the men’s professional International Racquetball Tour (IRT) 

Founded in 1990, the men’s professional International Racquetball Tour (IRT) features 300 players competing in over 20 Top-Tier and more than 50 Satellite Tournaments in Latin America, the United States, and Canada. This tournament will also draw amateur and college entrants. The amateur players compete in divisions ranging from beginner to open level for both singles and doubles.
