FAMU vs. USF: Presented by the Tampa Bay Sports Commission

On September 10 at 7pm, a monumental match-up will take place at Raymond James Stadium when the Florida A&M University Rattlers take on the University of South Florida Bulls. The game will mark the return of the Rattlers to the Tampa Bay area after a nine year absence.

"When you think of college football over the years in our community, FAMU and USF have to come to mind," said Executive Director Rob Higgins. "This is a weekend that bridges our area's college football tradition by featuring the first-ever, must-see match up of the Rattlers and Bulls."

Several additional events take place throughout an exciting weekend in the Tampa Bay area. Festivities kick off on Thursday night September 8 with the FAMU President's Scholarship Gala and continue on Friday and Saturday, leading into Saturday night's big game. For more information about these events and how to get your game tickets, please visit www.FAMU-USF.com.

The Bulls, led by 9th year head coach Jim Leavitt, feature standout players Andre Hall, RB, who was the Bulls team leader in rushing yards and touchdowns, and Stephen Nicholas, a LB who made 98 tackles last season. The Rattlers, celebrating their 100th football season, have a new head football coach for the first time in 11 years and will look to create a stir in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and NCAA Division I-AA. On July 20, FAMU named former Temple and NFL assistant Rubin Carter their new head coach. The Rattlers are led by standout WR, Roosevelt Kiser, who The Sporting News named one of the top 20 receivers in NCAA Division I-AA.
