Record-Setting ISSA Softball Tournament Prepares for Tampa

Record-Setting ISSA Softball Tournament Prepares for Tampa

TAMPA, FL - The ISSA has had an excellent response with entries in the 2017 ISF/ISSA World Tournament of Champions at Tampa, Florida. At this writing 132 teams have entered the tournament...the largest ISSA tournament ever and perhaps the largest three-day single weekend senior tournament in the USA. The organizers will be using 27 fields throughout the Tampa Bay Region this year and the event will generate approximately 3500 room nights in local lodging.

The seven softball complexes were assigned age divisions last month so teams could make their lodging arrangements. Some of those softball complexes are now at their field capacity for a senior tournament. Organizers are looking for alternatives but need to advise any new teams looking to enter, as of 11:00am today (Friday, December 2, 2016) all new entries are subject to being placed on a waiting list. Any new team looking to get in the event should immediately submit the online entry form then call Greg Thomas (571-220-0158) for their status and instructions. Teams listed on the Registered Team List posted on the ISSA Website are in the tournament. Special design Championship rings will be awarded to all the players on the thirty-three division 1st Place teams at the event as the 360 games are concluded on Sunday.
