NEW YORK (Jan. 19, 2018) – American alt-rock band Moon Taxi has joined the bill for the 2018 Enterprise NHL® All-Star Friday Night concert at Curtis Hixon Park on Friday, Jan. 26, the National Hockey League and Tampa Bay Sports Commission announced today. Headlined by Fitz and The Tantrums, the two-hour free concert will begin at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by Nashville Predators defenseman and 2018 NHL All-Star captain P.K. Subban and 93.3 FLZ’s Scotty Davis. The event will be open to the public, rain or shine. A ticket will not be required for entry.
The five-piece band is reaching new heights with the success of its new single, "Two High," topping more than 60 million streams on Spotify and making heavy rotation on SiriusXM. The song is the first single from its highly anticipated fifth studio album, Let The Record Play, which was released today via RCA Records. Moon Taxi’s Let The Record Play tour is set to open in February.
Let The Record Play is a triumphant moment of rock-pop exploration. Produced and mixed by the band’s guitarist, Spencer Thomson, Let The Record Play is a document of one of the most creative bands to emerge from Nashville’s immensely fertile landscape – and one that has been thriving on the festival scene for years, bringing its electric performances to Coachella, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo and beyond. Beloved enough in its hometown to sell out two nights at the famed Ryman Auditorium this past October, this LP, its RCA Records debut, is certain to catapult the band even higher.
